MANILA — Binigyang-diin ni Pangulong Marcos ang kahalagahan ng pagpapahusay ng partnership sa pagitan ng gobyerno at pribadong sektor, at sinabing kailangan nitong isulong ang pagbangon at pag-unlad ng ekonomiya.
Sa isang vlog na ipinost pagkatapos ng kanyang pagdalo sa World Economic Forum (WEF), si Marcos ay nagbigay ng katiyakan na ang kanyang administrasyon ay patuloy na magsasagawa ng mga hakbang sa pagbangon, idinagdag na ang Pilipinas ay gumaganap ng mas mahusay na ekonomiya kaysa sa ibang mga bansa.
“There is no single solution. Cooperation is needed so that the world, not just the Philippines, will recover,” wika ni Marcos sa isang vlog na inilathala sa YouTube noong Linggo.
“That includes the Philippine Development Plan for 2023 to 2028 that will serve as our guide for the systematic development of each sector. Also part of that is the strengthening of our relations with the private sector,” dagdag niya.
Sinabi ni Marcos na natuwa siya sa desisyon ng pitong Philippine business leaders na sumama sa kanya sa WEF.
“They came in full force to support the things we are doing, the government and vice versa. There are many things we cannot do without members of the private sector so we continue to support them,” dagdag niya.
Ang tinutukoy niya ay si Sabin Aboitiz, presidente at CEO ng Aboitiz Group at strategic convenor ng Private Sector Advisory Council, Kevin Andrew Tan ng Alliance Global, Jaime Zobel de Ayala ng Ayala Group, Lance Gokongwei ng JG Summit Holdings, Ramon Ang ng San Miguel Corp., Teresita Sy-Coson ng SM Investments at Enrique Razon ng International Container Terminal Services Inc.
Dumalo rin ang business tycoon na si Manuel V. Pangilinan, na ang portfolio ay kinabibilangan ng telecommunications giants na PLDT at Smart, sa hapunan na pinangunahan ng mga chief executive officer para kay Marcos sa Davos noong Miyerkules.
“The new friendships we formed with respected businessmen and economic business giants from different fields and parts of the world is good news for the recovering economy. The opportunities are limitless when we open up new networks and partnerships,” wika ni Marcos.
Sinabi ni Marcos na ang panukalang Maharlika sovereign wealth fund ay nakatanggap ng positibong tugon mula sa mga kalahok ng WEF.
“If the fund is managed properly, it would be a big help,” dagdag niya.
Binigyang-diin din ni Marcos ang kahalagahan ng pagpapatuloy ng mga talakayan sa pagbabago ng klima, na ang Pilipinas ay isa sa mga bansang pinaka-apektado ng phenomenon.
“It is important for us to raise this issue when the opportunity arises. Leaders of giant businesses and economies are listening and are looking for solutions, from clean and green energy sources to new technologies,” wika ng Pangulo.
