MANILA – Ikinatuwa ng Department of Tourism (DOT) nitong Biyernes ang pagtanggal ng One Health Pass (OHP) entry requirement para sa mga biyahero na aniya, ay nangangahulugan ng ganap na pagbangon ng industriya ng turismo ng bansa mula sa pagkawasak dahil sa Covid- 19 pandemic.
Gayundin, pinuri ni DOT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco ang pagpapakilala ng eARRIVAL card bilang kapalit ng OHP upang magbigay ng kaginhawahan at walang pagmamadali sa paglalakbay para sa mga Pilipino at dayuhang darating sa bansa.
“The creation of the eARRIVAL card [forms] part of the national government’s effort to relax the stringent protocols on Covid-19 to attract more travelers and boost the country’s tourism recovery,” wika ng Frasco.
Ang OHP requirement para sa mga inbound traveller kasunod ng pakikipag-ugnayan ng DOT sa Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), Department of Health (DOH), Bureau of Quarantine (BoQ), at iba pang miyembrong ahensya ng IATF.
Ang paggamit ng eARRIVAL card ay nag-ugat sa panukala ng DOT na alisin ang OHP dahil sa madalas na reklamo ng mga inbound traveler na dumarating sa bansa. Bago ang pagpapatupad ng eARRIVAL card, ang mga manlalakbay ay kinakailangang magparehistro para sa OHP bago maglakbay at gawin ang electronic Health Declaration Checklist (eHDC) sa araw ng pag-alis.
Sinabi ni Frasco na sa bagong sistema, ang mga manlalakbay ay mas maginhawa at walang pagmamadali.
“With the eARRIVAL card, [there is] no need to provide unnecessary information fields, allowing the easier and faster completion of the traveler registration process,” sinabi ni Frasco.
“For instance, tourism-related fields were significantly cut by half, from 20 items under the OHP to now less than 10 items in the eARRIVAL Card. Fields such as traveler occupation and educational attainment were also removed,” wika ni Frasco.
Sa bagong sistema, ang paglalakbay ay maaaring magpadala ng mga detalye, personal na impormasyon, mga deklarasyon sa kalusugan, at mga detalye ng bakuna sa eARRIVAL card website sa pamamagitan ng www.onehealthpass.com.ph.
Bibigyan din ang mga manlalakbay ng kakaibang QR code, ayon kay Frasco.
“Travelers must then capture a screenshot of the QR code on his/her mobile or computer device and present this to the BoQ officers at their destination airport in the Philippines,” dagdag niya.
Samantala, kung hindi makumpleto ng isang manlalakbay ang kanilang eARRIVAL card, tutulungan sila ng BoQ na nakatalaga sa airport sa proseso ng pagpaparehistro.

Our shared aspiration is to provide travelers with better and stress-free services through continuous improvement of tourism-enabling mechanisms in the country, digitalization, and liberalized entry protocols that provide the least inconvenience to travelers and convey that the Philippines is open and ready to receive travelers,” paliwanag ni Frasco.
