MANILA – Hinimok ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang papasok na administrasyon na ipagpatuloy ang pamumuno sa pagpapabuti ng mga sistema ng tren sa bansa.

“It is my hope that you will never lose sight of this goal, as the enhancement of this vital transportation connection will be the key to unlocking even better opportunities for our countrymen,” aniya sa pagbubukas ng Philippine National Railways (PNR) Lucena-San Pablo Commuter Line.

Binigyang-diin ni Duterte na ang isang epektibong mass transportation system ay hindi lamang nagpapalakas ng kalakalan sa pagitan ng rural at urban areas kundi pati na rin ang pagpapalakas ng turismo.

Sa kanyang mga pahayag, sinabi ng Chief Executive na ang pinakabagong proyektong ito ay patunay ng pangako ng administrasyong Duterte sa pagpapahusay ng mobility at connectivity sa buong kapuluan.

“With this, we will make everyone feel the change we have promised at the beginning of our term,” aniya.

Ang muling binuksan na riles ay nagpapaikli sa oras ng paglalakbay sa pagitan ng San Pablo, Laguna at Lucena, Quezon mula sa isang oras hanggang 30 minuto.

Para kay Duterte, nagsisilbi rin itong mahalagang hakbang tungo sa pagpapanumbalik ng PNR Bicol Express na mag-uugnay sa Metro Manila sa mga lalawigan sa Southern Luzon at Bicol.

“Indeed, our collective accomplishments throughout my term usher us into a brighter future where we can experience and feel the progress we have built from our shared aspirations,” wika niya.

“As my term in office draws to a conclusion, I am thankful that I spend my last days as President witnessing events like this and realizing that, even amidst the challenges around us, we will leave a legacy that brought meaningful and lasting changes to the lives that we have touched,” dagdag niya.
