MANILA – Kasalukuyang sinusunod ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ang mandatory quarantine protocols matapos malantad sa isang household staff na nagpositibo sa Covid-19, ipinahayag ng Malacañang nitong Huwebes.
“The Palace confirms that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was recently exposed to household staff who tested positive for Covid-19. The President has since been tested for Covid-19, and while the results of the test came back negative, he is currently observing mandatory quarantine protocols,” wika ni Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, acting presidential spokesperson, sa isang pahayag.
Ayon kay Nograles, ang huling araw ng pagkakalantad ni Duterte sa isang nag-positibo sa Covid-19 ay noong Enero 30.
“His RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) Negative test result was last Monday, January 31, 2022, and tested negative again for the second time on Tuesday, February 1, 2022,” dagdag niya.
Sinabi rin niya na ang kamakailang pagbisita ni Duterte sa Cardinal Santos Medical Center sa San Juan ay “para sa kanyang routine medical check-up lamang”.
Isinaad ni Nograles na patuloy pa rin ang komunikasyon ni Duterte sa mga miyembro ng Gabinete upang matiyak na matutugunan ang mga kagyat na usapin habang nasa quarantine.
“The Chief Executive continues to work while in quarantine, and is in constant communication with the members of the Cabinet in order to ensure that urgent matters are addressed, and to monitor the implementation of his directives, particularly with regard to the government’s Covid-19 response,” aniya.
Sa hiwalay na mensahe sa mga mamamahayag, sinabi ni dating Chief Presidential Legal Adviser Salvador Panelo na “busy si Duterte sa mga papeles” sa Bahay ng Pagbabago sa Malacañang.
