MANILA – Inihayag ni Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque nitong Lunes na si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ay walang direktang pakikipag-ugnay sa kanyang anak na si Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, na nagpositibo sa coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
Sinabi din ni Roque na ang Pangulo ang mamumuno sa Talk to the People, na nagpapahiwatig na siya ay nasa mabuting kalusugan.
“I will be flying to Davao right after my press briefing, together with the selected members of the IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases). So hindi naman po kami papupuntahin doon kung mayroon pong close contact si Presidente,” sinabi niya sa media.
Inilahad ng pamahalaang lungsod ng Davao nitong Sabado na ang alkalde nito ay nakakaranas ng banayad na sintomas at inilagay sa isolation.
“The family requests for complete privacy at this time and respectfully urge the public to refrain from sending tokens for well wishes. Everyone who came in close contact with Mayor Sara in the last 14 days is hereby advised to self-monitor for symptoms and get RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) tested five to seven days from your contact with her,” pahayag ng pamahalaang lungsod sa isang facebook post.
