Ipinag-utos ng Malacañang noong Biyernes na limitahan ng mga tanggapan ng executive branch ang operating capacity nito sa pagitan ng 30 at 50 percent sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng general community quarantine (GCQ) hanngang Abril 4.

Ito ay kasabay nang pagsipa sa bilang ng Covid-19 cases sa bansa.

Ayon kay Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea: Ang mga “government agencies and instrumentalities of the executive branch, including government-owned and controlled corporations” sa GCQ areas ay kailangang sumunod sa 30 to 50 percent operational capacity mula Marso 22 hanggang Abril 4.

Kailangang sumunod ang mga nasabing opisina sa binanggit na operating range “unless a higher capacity is required in agencies providing health and emergency frontline services, border control, and other critical services,” pahayag ni Medialdea sa isang memorandum circular. 

“Operational capacity refers to the number of employees or workers who are permitted or required to physically report to work in the premises of a particular agency of government, expressed as a percentage of the total workforce in such agency,” paglalahad ng dokumento.

Binabaan ng Malacañang ang operational capacity ng mga opisina nito sa GCQ areas “during these critical times to address the current surge in COVID-19 cases, while ensuring the continuous delivery of public services,” ani Medialdea. 

Ang mga pinuno ng ahensya na nagnanais naman umanong humingi ng temporary closure para sa kanilang mga tanggapan ay dapat mag-request ng clearance mula kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
