MANILA — Ipinaaaresto na ng Senate Committee on Women, Children, Fa­mily Relations and Gender Equality na pinamumunuan ni Sen. Risa Hontiveros si Pastor Apollo Quiboloy matapos muling isnabin ang imbestigasyon kaugnay ng mga akusasyon laban sa kanya.

Isang liham ang ipinadala ni Quiboloy sa komite sa pamamagitan ng legal counsel niya at hiniling ang pagsasan­tabi ng subpoena dahil paglabag umano ito sa fundamental at sacred constitutional rights ng lider ng KOJC.

Sinabi naman ni Hontiveros na kung papayagan ang palusot ni Quiboloy ay mawawalan na ng kapangyarihan ang Senado na magsagawa ng imbestigasyon.

Dahil sa pagsuway sa subpoena ng Senado, agad na ipinag-utos ni Hontiveros sa secretariat na hilingin kay Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri ang pagpapalabas ng arrest order laban kay Quiboloy.

“Pursuant to Section 18 of the Rules of the Senate, as chair of the Committee, with the concurrence of one member here with me, I cite in contempt APOLLO CARREON QUIBOLOY for his refusal to be sworn or to testify before this investigation,” pahayag ni Hontiveros.

“This committee requests the Senate President to order his arrest so that he may be brought to testify,” dagdag pa niya.
