MANILA – Inutusan ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin C. Remulla ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na imbestigahan ang mga bomb threat na ipinadala sa pamamagitan ng e-mail sa ilang ahensya ng gobyerno at local government units (LGUs).

“There should be no place for pranks or spreading fear among our people,” wika ni Remulla.

“Let this be a warning to those behind this that we will not tolerate such acts and we will go after you with the full extent of the law,” babala niya.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng Department of Justice (DOJ) na “nagpakilala ang nagpapadala ng e-mail na si Takahiro Karasawa, na diumano’y isang abogadong Hapon mula sa isang partikular na ‘Steadiness Law Office,’ at isang knowledgeable bomb-maker.”

“In the e-mail, Karasawa emphasized that bombs will rock major Philippine government agencies on February 12, 2024 approximately around 3:34 pm,” dagdag nito.

Iniulat ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD) na noong Lunes  nakatanggap ng bomb threat ang Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Central Office (DENR-Central Office).

Gayunpaman, idineklara ng pulisya na false alarm ang insidente matapos na walang nakitang pampasabog o mapanganib na materyales kasunod ng masusing paghahanap.

Hindi pa malinaw kung nakatanggap din ng e-mail ang DENR mula sa nagsasabing si Takahiro Karasawa.
