Isiniwalat ng abogadong si Barry Gutierrez na iaakyat nila sa Supreme Court (SC) ang usapin ng legalidad ng P125 milyong confidential fund ng Office of the Vice President noong 2022.
“Will be joining other petitioners in filing a case tomorrow, Nov 7, 10 AM at the Supreme Court, to question the constitutionality of the grant of Confidential Funds to the OVP in 2022,” ayon sa pinost ni Gutierrez sa X (dating Twitter) nitong Lunes.
“Mag-file raw ng kaso eh, so heto, pagbigyan natin,” dugtong pa nito.
Unang isiniwalat ni ACT Teachers Rep. France Castro na ginastos ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang P125 milyong confidential fund sa loob lamang ng 19 araw noong Disyembre 2022.
Subalit sa isinagawang budget hearing sa Kamara de Representantes, sinabi ni Rep. Stella Quimbo na hindi 19 araw kundi 11 ginastos ang P125 milyong confidential fund.
Nagtataka naman ang ibang senador kung bakit nagkaroon ng confidential fund ang OVP gayung zero ito bago bumaba sa puwesto si dating Vice President Leni Robredo noong Hunyo 2022.
Dito na isiniwalat ni VP Duterte na inilipat ng Office of the President ang higit P200 milyon sa OVP, P125 dito ay ginawang confidential fund.
