MANILA – Inihayag ng Malacañang nitong Huwebes na inaprubahan ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) ang rekomendasyon ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na kilalanin ang national Covid-19 vaccination certificates na inisyu ng Brazil, Israel, South Korea, at Timor Leste.
Sa isang virtual public briefing, sinabi ni Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, acting presidential spokesperson, na ang pag-apruba ng IATF ay para sa “layunin ng arrival quarantine protocols gayundin para sa interzonal/intrazonal na paggalaw” sa ilalim ng Resolution No. 160-D.
“These are in addition to other countries, territories and jurisdictions whose proofs of vaccination the IATF has already approved for recognition in the Philippines, and without prejudice to such other proofs of vaccination approved by IATF for all inbound passengers,” wika ni Nograles.
Nauna nang inaprubahan ng IATF ang pagtanggap ng national Covid-19 vaccination certificate ng Slovenia, Bahrain, Qatar, Switzerland, at Hong Kong.
Sinabi ni Nograles na ang Bureau of Quarantine, ang Department of Transportation one-stop-shop, at ang Bureau of Immigration, ay inaatasan din na kilalanin lamang ang mga proofs of vaccination na aprubado ng IATF.
