MANILA – Binalaan ang mga tauhan ng National Capital Region Office (NCRPO) laban sa paggamit ng mga sirena at blinker sa kanilang mga sasakyan upang matiyak na ang mga kagamitang ito ay mananatiling simbolo ng awtoridad, hindi pang-aabuso.
Nagbabala rin ang hepe ng NCRPO na si Vicente Danao Jr. sa mga pulis na sadyang gumagamit ng mga recovered motor vehicles para sa personal na paggamit, na nagsasabing nilalabag nito ang mga umiiral na batas at standard operating procedures.
“Our Chief Philippine National Police (Gen. Dionardo Carlos) is firm in his warning to fire any police officer who will be found using recovered motor vehicles and motorcycles. This call shall be implemented strictly in this region and I will personally make sure that police officers found guilty of violating this order shall be dealt with accordingly,” giit ni Danao.
Nauna nang iniutos ni Carlos sa PNP Highway Patrol Group (HPG) na tugisin ang mga motorista, kabilang ang mga alagad ng batas, na kilala sa hindi awtorisadong paggamit ng mga sirena, blinker at iba pang gadget sa kanilang mga personal na sasakyan na ipinagbabawal ng batas.
Ang mga pribadong motoristang makikitang gumagamit ng mga ipinagbabawal na gadget ay kakailanganing lansagin at isuko ang mga ito sa PNP-HPG bago magbigay ng citation ticket.
“This is part of our effort to instill discipline among our men to ensure that we keep a strong sense of moral fiber in our ranks. This is the very foundation of public service and one of the most definite ways to regain the trust and confidence of the citizenry to their police,” ani Danao.
Ipinagbabawal din ang mga pulis na magdala ng baril simula Enero 9 hanggang Hunyo 8 sa susunod na taon, bilang bahagi ng operational guidelines ng NCRPO para sa darating na national at local elections.
“On the other hand, the public can highly expect that our policemen will implement the Comelec’s gun ban policy with a sufficient number of checkpoints in the metropolis to help deter criminal minds in executing their evil designs,” wika ni Danao.
