Limang Chinese Coast Guard vessels ang nananatili pa rin sa teritoryo ng bansa, ayon sa National Task Force for the West Philippine Sea noong Miyerkules.

Batay sa huling inilunsad na patrols ng mga awtoridad mula Abril 15-22, tatlong Chinese vessels ang namataan sa loob ng Bajo de Masinloc.

Kinumpirma rin ng task force ang “patuloy na iligal na presensya” ng 2 Chinese vessels sa katubigan ng Kalayaan sa Palawan at Ayungin Shoal.

“These incursions are under review for the possible filing of appropriate diplomatic actions,” pahayag ng NTF-WPS.

“We remind all stakeholders in the region of their respective commitments made in the 2002 Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, and underscore the importance of diplomacy and sincere discussion in exploring areas of cooperation especially on marine environmental protection in the area, lest we risk denying present and future generations the right to a healthy and sustainable environment,” dagdag pa ng task force.

Iniulat din ng NTF-WPS na walang direktang insidenteng naganap sa pagitan ng Chinese Coast Guard at mga Pilipinong mangingisda sa katubigan ng Pilipinas sa nakalipas na tatlong linggo.
