PH, babakunahan vs. Covid-19 sa Mayo 1 ang min. wage earners at OFWs

Maglalaan ang Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) ng 5,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses para sa minimum wage earners at overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) na nasa ilalim ng A4 priority group.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, inaprubahan umano ng IATF ang hiling ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na gamitin ang vaccine doses sa symbolic inoculation ceremony na gaganapin sa Mayo 1, Labor Day.

Aniya, “The DOLE has been directed to create a masterlist to ensure the equitable representation of the labor sector during the said ceremony.”

Kinokonsidera rin ng IATF ang pagpapabilang sa frontliners ng Kongreso sa ilalim ng parehong priority group bilang pagkilala sa kanilang “critical and dispensable role in our fight against the coronavirus pandemic.”

Unang inaprubahan ng IATF ang A4 group, na kinabibilangan ng transportation workers; market vendors; frontline workers sa groceries, supermarkets at delivery services; manggagawa sa food, beverage at medical manufacturing; mga pari at iba pang religious leaders; security guards; government at private news media workers; manggagawa sa law/justice, security, at social protection sectors; overseas Filipino workers; at mga guro, na parehong nasa basic at higher educational institutions, at iba pa.

Gayunpaman, hindi pa nailalabas ang mga panuntunan sa ikaapat na priority group.

Kasalukuyang nagbabakuna ang bansa sa tatlong priority groups: health workers (A1), mga edad 60 pataas (A2), at mga may comorbidities (A3).
