‘Shut up’: PRRD, binanatan si Robredo kaugnay ng Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines

Pangalawang Pangulo Leni Robredo at Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte

Muling binanatan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Pangalawang Pangulo Leni Robredo tungkol sa mga naging pahayag ng Bise-presidente sa Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines na gawang China.

Ayon kay Duterte, nanghihikayat lamang umano si Robredo ng pagdududa sa taumbayan tungkol sa pagiging epektibo ng Sinovac, ang kauna-unahang bakuna kontra Covid-19 na dumating sa bansa noong Pebrero 28. 600,000 doses ng Sinovac ang ibinigay ng China.

“Instead of helping, the Vice President muddled up everything, thereby I said creating uncertainty and doubt in the minds of the people. I hope next time, if she has nothing good to say, she should just maybe shut up… I did not get irritated. I got angry at you because I said, what is this? Time is running out to convince people,” giit ni Duterte.

Ito ang naging tugon ng Pangulo sa naging komento ni Robredo sa isang online interview kung saan sinabi ng Bise-presidente na maliit lamang ang pasensiya ni Duterte.

Ikinagalit ng Pangulo ang pagsuporta ni Robredo sa mga health workers na umaapela sa Health Technology Assessment Council (HTAC) upang i-review ang Sinovac vaccines.

Ang HTAC ay ginawa sa ilalim ng Universal Health Care Law upang i-review ang gastos at ethical at community impact ng health technologies para sa publiko. Kabilang sa mga nire-review ang mga gamot, bakuna, at iba pang health devices.

Ayon naman kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, na co-author ng naturang batas, recommendatory lamang umano ang health technology assessment process sa Department of Health (DOH) at Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
